Instuctions for DIY JVC HDD Modifications
Below are examples of the installation instuctions for JVC DIY upgrades. These refer to a DIY service disc with a pre-programmed one use service remote control.
Full upgrade instructions are included with each upgrade supplied by us. You will only be sent the correct firmware disc and service remote codes for the model you select,
so please ensure you order the correct one!
Please be aware that you perform a DIY modification at your own risk!

Service Disc based upgrades
1. Enter service mode via the sequence of buttons as supplied with your specific upgrade (this varies with the model for upgrade) 2. Once in service mode, open the drawer, and insert the correct disc for your model (supplied with kit). 3. The machine will read the disc, and display "UPDATE". 4. Now press "command 1" on the service remote until the unit opens the drawer and the display shows "Open". 5. Switch the machine into standby. Unplug from the mains. 6. Now exit service mode via the sequence of buttons as supplied with your specific upgrade (this varies with the model for upgrade) 7. The upgrade is complete. ENJOY!
