Instuctions for DIY Philips Modifications
Below are examples of the installation instuctions for Philips DIY upgrades. These refer to either a Service Remote mod, or a DIY service disc.
Full upgrade instructions are included with each upgrade supplied by us. You will only be sent the firmware disc or service remote code for the model you select, so please ensure you order the correct one!

Service Disc based upgrades
1. Switch on the unit, open the drawer, and insert the mod disc. DO NOT close the drawer! 2. A menu will appear, folloe the on-screen promps. 3. Take out the disc. Switch the machine to standby with the players original remote control. 4. Unplug the unit from the mains, then plug it back in again. 6. Switch the machine back on, the upgrade is complete. ENJOY!
Service Remote based upgrades
1. Switch on the unit, wait for "no disc" to be displayed (make sure no disc is inserted!). 2. Press the transmit key ONCE on the service remote (pressing transmit again will erase the commands!) 3. The front panel will display a series of dashes. Now enter the appropiate code as supplied for your model, with the machines original handset. 4. The display will clear, saying "no disc". 5. Unplug the unit from the mains, then plug back in. 6. The upgrade is complete. ENJOY!
