Instuctions for DIY Pioneer Modifications
Below are examples of the installation instuctions for Pioneer DIY upgrades. These refer to a PC operated interface and software.
Full upgrade instructions are included with each upgrade supplied by us. You will only be sent the software for the model you select,
so please ensure you order the correct one!

Good computer knowledge, a fully configured comm port, and operational dos enviroment is required. You choose this DIY option at your own risk!

Uploader based upgrades
1. Connect the Interface to the PC 2. With the dvd player unplugged from the mains, connect the uploader service cable into the players service port (this is a small slit in the rear panel of the DVD player. You will see a small socket behind the opening in the metal panel - insert the uploader with the silver PCB facing upwards. 3. Plug in the DVD player, and turn it on. 4. On the PC, via windows explorer open the supplied disc, and double click the "clickme" icon. A dos window will open. Type the correct commands.
If your PCs serial port is correctly configured, and you have inserted the uploader into the player correctly, a status window will open and after 10 seconds this will show "completed".
5. The DVD player will now reboot, or show "loading", depending on the model you have. 6. Switch the machine off, and unplug from the mains, remove the uploader from the rear of the player and PC, then test your player. 7. The upgrade is complete. ENJOY!
