DIY Multiregion upgrades for Toshiba models
Instuctions for DIY JVC Modifications
Below are examples of the installation instuctions for Toshiba DIY upgrades. These refer to a DIY service disc. Full upgrade instructions are included with each upgrade supplied by us. You will be sent the firmware disc for the model you select, so please ensure you order the correct one!

Product Information:

Service Disc based upgrades
    1. Enter service mode via the sequence of buttons as supplied with your specific upgrade (this varies with the model for upgrade)
    2. Once in service mode, open the drawer, and insert the mod disc.
    3. Depending on the model, the display will show either "UPDATE", "0", or "D".
    4. Eject the disc, then using the players original remote control, follow the sequence of button key-presses to exit service mode.
    5. Switch the machine into standby. Unplug from the mains.
    6. Plug the machine back in. Installation is complete.
    7. The upgrade is complete. ENJOY!
Rental Service PC Based DIY Kit based upgrades
    1. Disconnect the player from the mains supply.
    2. Remove the players outer top case, and locate the service port.
    3. Connect the uploader to your PCs Comm 1 port, and to the players service port.
    4. Plug the player into the mains and switch on.
    5. With Windows explorer open the supplied disc, and click on the "click me" icon.
    6. Follow the onscreen options.
    7. Once complete, swithc the player to standby mode.
    8. Disconnect power from the player, and remove the uploader from the player and PC comm port.
    9. Replace the players top case.
    10. Power up the player, enter setup and select "AUTO" under display options for video output (currently set to PAL).
    11. The upgrade is complete. ENJOY!
